Excellent school .after taking our child out to move to.a closer school we have returned him.back to Oakwood. Very approachable and happy staff . Our boy is so much happier here and always comes home with a smile on his face and has started to enjoy going to school again .

Do not send your child here, my child was here for over 3 years and has SEN & has an EHCP and was treated disgusting. Full of excuses Do not treat SEN children fairly, you will have non stop battles with this school, until the point the school take you to children's services. They Do not not have time for children or parents that have special needs. My child was victimised by a staff member for a yr & again hushed. I'm not the 1st parent or will I be the last to have had an extremely difficult time with this school. My son's emotional & mental health has deteriorated because of this school & the school blame the parents for there failures. My son will now be transferring to another mainstream school who hopefully will meet his needs & support him & not punish him for being Autistic
If you have a child that has a disability in any shape or form then do NOT send your child to Oakwood Academy . As they do not have the facilities to maintain your child. Plus they don't use the funding they get on those who need it the most. Plus the School Senco is useless. I have a little boy who is there at the moment. BIG mistake, he is in year 3 now and we have been trying to get then Senco to send EDHP Education and health plan. But she drags her feet and she done for at least a year now and still not been sent off. My boy has been constantly being bullied and nothing has been done about it in an appropriate way or manor. So I strongly recommend take your child to place where they have a good support system for your child's needs.
