Shocking customer service. We were greeted with I’m closing soon whadda ya want. We said we were interested in purchasing a couple of hybrid bikes and were dismissed with a “don’t have any at the moment”. He may know his stuff when it comes to fixing bikes but must lose a lot of business with that kind of attitude.

Simon was incredibly helpful, I was able to purchase some specialist tools with ease. In light of other reviews which I consider more than a little harsh. Simon works extremely hard to serve the community, often working for hours on bicycle repairs, long after his shop has closed. Please can people take the time to consider how more difficult it is for Simon in these horrendous times; acquiring supplies are becoming increasingly difficult and we must be mindful that all stock that arrives in UK must fairly be allocated to all bicycle dealers Nationwide. This has adversely impacted on all bicycle shops in the UK, almost all shops have not been able to get the stock levels they require; including Phoenix cycles. A little kindness goes a long way, no one knows what people could silently be going through.
Amazing service from the guys. Picked up my new bike and accessories today cant be anymore happier. They deffently go above and beyond to get you up and running. Thank you again phoenix cycles.
Consciously trying to support local businesses in this pressing time, I decided to part with my hard earned money (upwards of 3k) and buy another aero road bike, so as you do made some general enquiries in shop. Well... rude, condescending, and abrupt was what I was met with (Google photos of Phoenix Cycles Eastbourne) middle aged guy in first photo wearing cap, just so I don't mistake anyone. Normally I would let it go, but, this guy really pushed my buttons! I thought it was a one off and prepared to leave it pass as a Monday morning blue, but, looking at other reviews it's clear this gentleman has customer service issues and strongly advise they are addressed ASAP, as you have just cost your business a profit from me and is seems others. As previous customers and reviews have also stated, I have now added myself to the long list on non returners, "a smile and politeness goes a long way, an attitude and rude manner costs you profit!"
Phoned at least 5 times and left messages. In the end went to shop with my bike. Bloke was scoffing a sandwich and told me to go elsewhere. I would of been happy to pay money for my bike to be fixed but what a bad customer service and rude person
Oh my goodness! Just picked up my bike following a repair and its amazing! Smoother, faster and quieter, thanks so much Simon!! Didnt think my bike could work so well!! Cant recommend more highly!
Popped into shop on a busy Saturday morning to show Simon my knackered bottom bracket and get new one ordered. He had the bearings in stock and replaced them immediately whilst I waited. The bikes never been so smooth running, best money I've spent on the bike.
Very abrupt on the phone. Rather rude and unhelpful when I visited. New to the area, I didn't know where else to go. The repair was botched - and expensive. I won't be going back and would suggest giving them a miss.
