First time we had been in Eastbourne for quite some years. We could smell the fish and chips outside which is what drew us in. The tables were set a nice distance apart, the customer service was excellent. And everywhere was nice and clean including the toilets. The portions were big, and the food tastes great. The chips were those really nice chip shop chips that are thick, fresh and slightly crisp on the smaller ones, very yummy. Both my partner and I had Cod. Which was really good and tasty. The only thing I would add, although wouldn't put me off, the fish could have done with more seasoning whilst being cooked. Aside from that it was perfect and we would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Great cod and chips at a good price. The restaurant was pleasant with a nice feel and friendly service. NOTE: They limit the time a table can hold a bottle of tartar sauce, though. A 3rd of a way through, the bottle was removed from our table with a simple swipe and thank you. No time for a protest. Seems they only have 4 bottles for about 20 tables. Ketchup was okay to have for the whole meal. So make sure you get all the tartar sauce you need in the first four minutes. Remember now.

Used to be the best fish & chip shop in town by far.. haven't ordered in a while but thought I'd treat myself and the family but was shocked how small the potions were as when we used to order they were huge ie Large Cod was at least 12 inches long or failing that 2 pieces of cod...We also ordered Skate which was the smalest piece I'd ever had..Chips average size and ok in taste..sausage in batters ok but they only do the small size no jumbos.. don't get me wrong it tasted great but like I say very small compared to a while back.. maybe a new owner or chef in charge?? When and if I ask for large Cod and pay the extra I expect large.. for the food delivered I've only give it 2 * due to the size but on taste I'd give it 4/5 *.. shame as mixed feelings about future orders as others close by provide larger potions at similar prices..
