So glad we booked this place for Sunday lunch. After a huge walk around Beachy Head it was like an oasis in the distance. So many people being turned away without reservations so we felt happy we'd planned ahead. Roast beef and roast turkey were both delicious and the double chocolate brownie for pudding was divine. If you've never been to the pub before, you can get a free pudding by signing up online in advance! Lovely staff, gorgeous pub and very smoothly run.

We had a lovely evening today at the Beachy Head Pub.Great atmosphere, very safe, delicious food and coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff especially Chris. Definitely recommend. We will visit again soon.
covid safe and well organised. A bit cold Spring outside. Didn't see any outside hearing but other than that lovely spot for a drink and food. Lovely desserts very yummy.
I live in London and tried to go to this place yesterday for the first time (Sunday the 2nd of May) and the host said that they were not taking anymore walk-ins only clients with bookings. Odd enough there were free/available 10 tables all outside and still one hour to their closing time. When I mentioned that to the very nice and very welcoming chap he replied saying that there were 50 people booked to arrive (just 1 hr to their closing time..) i just thanked him and called him you must be the “Employee of the month” caring so much about the business and clients.... The owner should install cctvs to check their business.... after 1 year closed bec of the pandemic and Employees sabotaging the business.... I am a business owner and would not like the same thing happened to me.
Good food but a little bit slow service at lunch time today. Nice decor and layout, small WC facilities but they were fairly usable. On this visit I had a minor issue caused by a tea cup being provided that wasn't clean. I asked the waitress for a replacement and one was provided but only after I asked for it a second time. They did provide a replacement pot of tea.
Great service and nice food, but not enough non-dairy/milk free options or too much cross contamination. Avoid if anyone in your party or family is dairy intolerant otherwise great place
The place have a great atmosphere and very nice views. Food was great, including the dessert and the coffees and drinks. The only downside was the service as it was quite slow (Wednesday around 4pm - plus minus an hour). The waiters won't check the tables unless called and it's a bit difficult to catch their attention as they are running around to do stuff - they were obviously busy, so I cannot claim it's their fault. No sauces were offered with the food and no sugar nor sweetener was offered for the coffees, also we didn't get any coffee spoon (we could probably asked for it, but by the time I saw a chance to call a waitress my coffee already cooled down without stirring). Also, when the waitress brought us the coffees and drinks she just left the entire tray at the table, then served other tables in the same manner and a few minutes later just circled around all the tables and collected the trays in passing without even looking at us or the other guests. This is probably the usual way to serve stuff around so it OK, but before realizing this, my friend at first thought that we offended her somehow (happy to realize this wasn't the case, but it's still a bit uncomfortable when you don't know what is happening). However, when we got the waitress to take our orders, although she was obviously in a hurry, she patiently took all our orders and everything was served how we asked for. Just to be clear, I believe the weird and slow service when the waiters were obviously busy all the time (although the place wasn't that full in my opinion) is not the staff's fault and they were very polite during any interaction. If you go hiking around this area, it's a great place to take a rest, have a hot or cold drink and eat. The view is amazing even if not seated next to a window and so is the atmosphere which I would describe as cozy countryside like.
After a whole day hiking from East Dean, Seven Sister towards to Eastbourne) The Beachy Head was our planned stop and we could refill our energy here. We ordered a nice pint beer and soup (spicey cauliflower with sourdough bread toast/butter). I could say it was pretty good! Having a beer is really satisfying after a long hike and in a hot day. The pub is very well organised, and they follow strict rules because of covid situations. I was happy with their prices too. Waitresses were lovely and friendly. Nice place, definitely will come back.
