In short, a very passionate and knowledgeable karate teacher. I would highly recommend beginners or advanced students who are looking for traditional karate training. I have been training with Sensei Steve for five years. I found it challenging entering karate but I felt supported and encouraged to progress at my own pace.

We were fortunate enough to have a visit at our dojo from Woolston Sensei. We thoroughly enjoyed our session, spending a whole day learning applications, bunkai, kata and some history of Matsubayashi-Ryu. Woolston Sensei is very knowledgeable and easy to listen to - as a family of three including a teenage child he pitched the day perfectly for all the participants. We hope to be in a position to visit in May and are looking forward to a visit again soon. Totally recommend if you are interested in karate getting in contact.
