Went here very recently for the last 4 nights of our short break in Eastbourne. What a find, a lovely, very comfortable pub. Management and staff were really friendly, and the food was delicious all home cooked, steak and ale pie was lovely. We had a little dog with us which wasn't a problem as its very dog friendly. We ate in the dining part, but you can eat anywhere there, then moved to the lounge, which is very relaxing, And No Televisions ! so very laid back, we really enjoyed it and will definatly visit again when next in Eastbourne.
We booked here today as they had the eat out to help out and most places were booked up at the short notice. We have honestly had one of the best meals out we’ve ever had. The food was gorgeous, home cooked food and such generous portions. All 4 of our meals were delicious, we will definitely be returning and can’t wait to bring our friends and family here too. You must visit if you’re in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Great pub with a real traditional feel. Really nicely layout and furnishing in a proper pub style. Food is really good here with a good menu choice. Service is always spot on. Always worth a visit during the Christmas period, the lights are amazing. One of the best pubs in Eastbourne.
