We have been lifelong customers of Thomas Cook, and for good reason. This year though, we decided to take our chances and possibly book with TUI given their prices were a little lower than Thomas Cooks. We made a 10:30 appointment on bank holiday Monday at the Eastbourne store, turned up at 10:10. Another couple apparently also with a 10:30 appointment walked through the door at 10:35, were greeted by a TUI representative (given we had sat there over 30 mins and had not been spoken to), and the other couple were served before us! When we approached the lady about this (Sharon), we were told she had another 10:30 appointment. No apologies, nothing. Shocking customer service.

shocking service. i added lounge acess to my booking to find this hadnt been added by staff in store. when i raised this issue with the store they just pointed the finger at me and couldnt care less.

Staff uneducated about the hotel's they are sending their customers too and when they endeavour to find out information asked for by customers they are half hearted in their attempt. They will lie to your face about responding to emails (expect a reply in 2 weeks after being told the next day).

THIS IS YOUR FIRST AND ONLY WARNING ON USING THIS STORE AND TUI IN GENERAL..... I would like to outline the misleading practices that resulted in my Wife & I paying an additional 6,471.00 on a 70,000.00 Wedding Booking due to the sheer incompetence of one, very young and inexperienced staff member at Tui Eastbourne. Even though the staff member in question admitted in writing on her internal systems notes (photo attached) that she calculated it incorrectly we had no choice but to pay the additional amount and the Store Manager made absolutely no attempt to investigate this on our behalf - instead she made every effort to cover up the issue and hide behind her T’s & C’s - absolutely appalling management style and be careful. IN ADDITION TO ADMITTING TO HER MISTAKE ON THE FIGURES THE TUI REP IN QUESTION ALSO JOKED ABOUT THE FACT THAT "MATHS WASN'T HER STRONG POINT" ON 2x SEPARATE OCCASIONS.....DISGUSTING ATTITUDE AND STILL NOT INVESTIGATED BY STORE MANAGER!!!!!! Unfortunately I am unable to pursue this legally as two solicitors I have spoken with have concerns that although the Tui Rep admits to her wrongdoings there isn't enough written evidence as it was all verbally communicated. DISGUSTING MISLEADING STAFF MEMBERS AND HORRENDOUS PRACTICES - LOOK ONLINE AND YOU WONT FIND A GOOD WORD SAID ABOUT TUI AS A COMPANY. IF YOU DO ANYTHING I IMPLORE YOU NOT TO USE THIS STORE AS THEY WILL INEVITABLY INCORRECTLY CALCULATE SOMETHING AND RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE. WHEN YOU ESCALATE THIS TO THE REGIONAL SALES MANAGER HE IS AS USEFUL AS AN ASHTRAY ON A MOTORBIKE..... DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE!!!!!!!!!!

Would give 0 stars if I could. My friend booked an all inclusive holiday to Punta Cana through TUI Eastbourne, they were recommended a brand new hotel by the agent that they were told had been opened December 2018. He is due to fly out there next week for his holiday to have only just been told that the hotel is still a building site and will not be suitable for him to stay in, even though he has several documents in writing to confirm that the hotel is open. The store manager Karen Burt has been less than helpful to try and resolve the situation. TUI's Policies and promises on their website claim that if a holiday has to be cancelled through no fault of the customer, TUI will either put you in a downgraded hotel and reimburse you the difference or put you into an upgraded hotel at no cost to yourself. However, Karen has proposed that my friend be put in a hotel no where NEAR the specification of his chosen hotel (might i add, it is a downgrade - shock!) and he is expected to pay 400 for the privilege! My friend is now spending his days trying to chase TUI via any social media source he can, sending numerous emails to several email addresses to no avail and nobody willing to try and resolve the situation. This is a perfect example of HORRENDOUS customer service, this review may not be able to help my friends situation right now however hopefully it will warn others to think twice before booking with this travel agent!
