I love having this memory for those who died for us today in the centre of town

Bronze winged victory holding laurel wreath and inverted sword to resemble cross, set on a granite pedestal on a plinth of steps. It has two bronze inscription plaques dedicated to WW1 and WW2. The corners of the pedestal are decorated with bronze hooded cherubs and dolphins. On the 6 o'clock face there is a WW1 dedication. On the 12 o'clock face there is 'World War II' enclosed in a laurel wreath with a dedication below.
Absolutely breathtaking and such a solem place would recommend to anyone with an interest in history, truly wonderful place with a museum situated on site next to the monument which explains further abou the great importance to the Cuban people this place holds.
Fascinating piece of local history.
It's a landmark. Looks nice enough but mainly used as a point of reference in my experience. I'm probably just a philistine.
Just cross the road and have a look , it's very important to the people of Eastbourne.
Great place took so many photos recommed it memorial very impressive
Nice roundabout. But you'd need eagle vision to see the writing from across the street.
