A dance school I can't help but compare everywhere else to! This dance school was the air I breathed for so many years from the age of 2.5 to 18 I danced weekly for SJ dance. SJ is more than just a dance school it was a home and a family. I'm still in contact with so many of the girls from back in the day. Every part of SJ is outstanding! From the ladies who help with the shoes and to be fare any help you need! They welcome everyone with a smile and all the kids adore them! The teachers are outstanding and meet every child's needs no matter how different! There is no pressure for a child to compete if they don't want to, yet every child will be given the opportunity if interested. I now live in Wales and hate that my daughter can't attend this dance school! No dance school will ever mean as much to me as this one. I still love visiting with my kids and showing them where I danced for so many years and the teachers and old friends are always so happy to see us. Thank you SJ for giving me so much including skills that help me in my adult life!

My daughter Issie has been dancing at SJ Academy for a number of years, she has achieved great success as well as grown and developed as a dancer, both physically and emotionally. The teachers at SJ are excellent, they really understand their students, set high standards and deliver excellent teaching. Issie enjoys her classes so much she hates to being away and can't wait to get back from holidays. She loves her classes as well as being part of the SJ Associates team.

Love this academy! Grew up with a second family and the phenomenal training from the teachers successfully got me into dance and musical theatre colleges. I am now working on cruise ships as a dancer and couldn't be any prouder for being a part of SJ Academy! I am so grateful and thankful for where I am now not only as a dancer but as a person. SJ Academy of Dance is more than just a dance school to me. It’s where I formed lifelong friendships, developed my confidence and pushed my boundaries. I grew up at the school starting at the age of 3 and taking my last exam at age 19, I couldn’t imagine my life without dancing in it. I am very thankful to all my dedicated teachers I had over the years for the training I received here.

My daughter was at SJ for many years and now working as a professional dancer from the training she received here at 18 years old! I found the teaching to be of a very high standard, in all the different genres of dance, and given lots of opportunities which alot of other schools do not offer. My daughter made really close friends and enjoyed classes and I as a parent enjoyed the support network of other parents too and felt the teachers wanted the best for your child and the others there very much! I can't recommend it enough!

My children went to SJAcademy and found all the teachers amazing! They helped them gain confidence in their dances and they always came home wanting to go back for more lessons! When my daughter was struggling Miss Sally helped and was so kind. She could see she was trying and was getting so upset because she couldn’t get it right. Then Miss Sally got down by her and calmed her down and went through it all and she finally got it. There was always help if you want to learn. The lady who sorted out their dance clothes was so helpful and to the time to make sure all my children were kitted out with what they needed. Which was just as well as I didn’t have a clue!! Anyone that wants their children to dance and that boys and girls, this school is the place to go. If they want to dance and want to learn you can’t beat it for friendly and helpful teachers.

I studied at this school for almost 14 years, I would not be the person I am today without the hard work and dedication from every teacher that works there. I not only learned to dance here but I also learned many valuable life skills, this school prepared me for the real world of dance which is a tough one. I am currently performing professionally with Mystic Ballet in America after studying Modern Ballet at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for 3 years, none of which would have been possible without SJ Academy of Dance - thank you for never giving up on me and helping me achieve my dreams!
