Great Pub. Well designed and managed. Often with pubs you find that the garden is fairly lackluster. This one has the bonus of a car park and garden. The garden is often well kept and has the added bonus of being located next to a river which has a nice atmosphere. This is all complemented by a good menu and reasonable staff.

If you’re in the Southampton area and want a huge Sunday roast look no further! This place has taste, quantity and price in a plate. You will have to book a table and queue up to choose from 5 different meats but for some undeceive they offer you all 5 with the same amount of money. Also there’s vegetarian options which is fantastic! All you can eat veg, gravy and soft drinks. Standing next to a romantic river and with free parking (you will have to register your number plate at the reception) takes it to the top of my list for Sunday Dinner.
I'd not been here in over 10 years. The carvery was immense. They're was so much and it was really lovely. The serving staff were really friendly and helpful. My only gripe was the middle aged lady who was 'greeting' people & taking them to their tables. She was very rude about me needing to have a mask on. I had one with me, but there were no signs saying to wear masks AND all the people in front of us had gone in without them. Mine was in my hand and I was literally just about to ask if we were required to wear them. Maybe she had spotted it and decided to take her frustration out on me because of this? Who knows? She's definitely in the wrong job.
We went while in tier 3 and had a great time, they had made a real effort to keep you as Safe as possible under the circumstances. Kids love a roast dinner.
Whent there today for breakfast with my Auntie it was her first time, manager on door was friendly and showed us to our table, waitress was happy and a young boy waiter was collecting dirty dishes from tables and he had the most amazing smile all staff very friendly even the chef behind the hot plate dishing up the breakfast. Happy staff means happy customers.... Everything clean and tidy nice breakfast and social distanceing at its best. And the garden looked lovely too we will definitely be back again.we'll done Toby carvery Bishopstoke. Sarah
Very good all round. Staff very good apart from one who really let her team down! Seemed like she really didn't want to be there and quite frankly..... wish she hadn't have been!
Went on Sunday for breakfast. After paying the waitress said go up when you're ready. No mention of not helping yourself. As my other half is disabled I went to get his breakfast before I got mine. Waited for 5 minutes and no one come to serve so I helped myself - you would have thought WWW3 had started!!! Eventually one of the 'chefs' appeared but would not touch the plate I had but i was expected to touch the plate 'she ' had! Food was not the best and I'll definitely think twice about a revisit!
Pretty good, only get a little bit of meat from the carvery though. Servive and food is high quality.
