I'm from Minnesota yet I felt like I was at home. Came by during lunch time and it wasn't too busy, lots of choices to pick from. And pleasant service was provided. If I'll be in the area again I'll surely stop by! Thank you

The Old Country Buffet definitely had an "old country" vibe to the place. Me and my family went for breakfast and the selection was unbelievable. You definitely get what you pay for here. They have a very nice salad bar, a taco bar!!!!, a bar that's ice cream and desserts, and for breakfast they had french toast, pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs and so much more. They have a chef guy making omelets as well The drink selection is nice too. Fountain drinks, iced tea, chocolate milk, juices, an icee machine(although, it was out of order when we went there) but still!! I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the area, or if you stayed at metropolis the night prior and you're looking for a big breakfast. This is definitely the place to go!

It isn't a lie when someone says the employees make the business. We enjoy the breakfast buffet here from time to time and we always try to sit in Katelyn's area because she really does her best to make sure you have the best experience possible by going above and beyond for her customers. She's a smiling face in what I imagine can be a thankless industry. We appreciate what she brings to this establishment and is the reason we keep coming back.

Went there for Thanksgiving dinner. Very impressed with the flow and organization. They were completely ready for the holiday crowd. Food was fresh. An enormous variety of goodies. Everything was promptly replenished. Turkey, chicken, ham, steak, and carved beef along with every accompaniment you could possibly want or imagine. The desserts were great, too. Most were made in their kitchen. The General manager, Jim, worked right along with the staff, cleaning and bussing tables when needed while taking names in order to seat all size families promptly. I will come back on a regular night to see if the quality is maintained. I suspect it will.

The staff is wonderful, beginning with the cashiers you first meet. They always greet with a pleasant attitude. Sharon who I met during the day, and a young brunette woman who I have seen on weeknights are truly gracious and very hardworking table staff. They are friendly, quick to pick up empty plates and offering to help, and make the environment really positive. Staff monitoring the food stations do an excellent job keeping everything full and fresh.

Its closed for good. Lots of memories here. Would love to see it reopen.

Things haven't really changed all that much over there in the last 4 years. It's been that long since we've been there and we wanted to try it again to see if they've gotten any better. The only thing that I could see that's gotten any better with some of the help that was their first we only talked to her one or two of them but they were really nice. The food I don't know I think I can get better at McDonald's

Busy, but quiet enough for pleasant conversation with our group. Great holiday menu choices and the food was fresh and delicious. Pleasant and clean atmosphere, and great service.
