Hello to all that read this... I am an Australian that has surfed for more then 40 years... My dad of 60 years.. And we both think this is the most amazing accomplishment that the Family Neuböck has created. In an land locked country.. To bring a surfing Community closer together is amazing.. And to all the negative response are a Joke... Really.. It show me how lucky we all are to have such a wave... A wave of Quality and quantity... The staff at the wave are also Friendly and helpful... with Mother Nature we have to respect it and not expect that The riverwave family can change it.\u200d️Amazing.. but true.. and please to tell you all.. that 50 in the line up.. is a small amount if you go to other waves of the world.. So enjoy the Surfing community that has been created... Thank you Family Neuböck.. see you all again and again and again..

Awesome riverwave, friendly team, good rental equipment, a well-equipped small shop and good food. We feel at home here!
Hey surfers, learn some aloha, this is a man made river wave that uses no pumps only natural river flow, so it varies natural variation, not city wave type system, it is still in development, can be crowded, but according to the length of the queue everyone gets a ride learners to expert. Most democratic line up in surfing, sure a wait sometimes, no hassling in the water , no drop ins no snaking, I have surfed all around the world at name spots, I have never seen a more sharing or caring surf crew, RiverWave staff included. Ocean surf is entirely different and entirely cut throat to what is here. Leave your egos at the gate and share the fun of aloha, the ocean picture has something you won‘t get at the wave
awesome wave, super-friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere another perfect day at the.Riverwave!
Had an awesome time at The.Riverwave at the start of July! I booked a 3 hour course and got a nice and gentle introduction to river surfing. If you are a more cautious person you'll really appreciate how water safety is taken very seriously at The.Riverwave. Aside from the helmet and a quick release leash, my instructor Dani even jumped into the water as soon as I fell off a wave to make sure I'm all safe. In the end I was relieved to find that the "washing machine" was fairly gentle. However I was surprised to find that you have to make an extra effort to "paddle over" the last section close to the shore where the water pressure creates some turbulence. No worries if you don't get out at the regular exit point. It's very easy to get out of the water downstreams also. "Stepping" on the wave is very comfortable from the right side, since a whitewater "pillow" forms just at the same height as the "step off" platform itself. The wave worked great all afternoon and I surfed until the very end of the day. Water temperature (start of July) was no issue at all and using a 3/2 wetsuit worked very fine for me. I was lucky since bad weather was predicted (which fortunately did not materialize) and a lot of people seemed to have decided to stay at home resulting in a more quiet day at The.Riverwave. The locals are great! Crazy skills and very welcoming!! They even cheer the beginners on! :-D I highly recommended checking out The.RiverWave! I'll definitely come back!
Great place!
