Took our two boys here for the tubing hill. Only one person per tube but you can link two tubes together (e.g. parent with child) while going down. There's no tow rope for the tubing hill so you have to hike up each time. They've groomed it to be a fairly easy incline but you'll definitely warm up quickly; we were peeling layers after our second run. There are 6 big lanes and then 1 smaller lane off to the side for younger kids who might be too scared.

The kids had a blast! Can't wait to go back. It wasn't super busy and staff are wonderfully helpful.

I'd really go more like four and a half. We're not a skiing family, but this place was great for our kids to go to and have a fun, easy, and safe time. Very convenient from Chelan.

Nice small backyard ski area to learn skiing. We are a family of non skiers who wanted to give this sport a try this year. We chose echo valley due to its small size and affordability. Very reasonable (35 for gear rental) and slopes are very accessible. Classes are also usually available and reasonably priced with great instructors who provide individual attention. Ok so what does not work.... On a good snow day this place can get very crowded. The rental wait time could be more than an hour and you may still not get the gear. It happened to us once and the kids were super disappointed. The classes can get filled fast and you may not get any instructors. They don't have any online gear or class bookings and you have to fetch up there to see how crowded it is. If you are the organized type of person then this is not the place for you as the experience can be very unpredictable and at the extremes. I will take Mission Ridge as that place costs a lot more but you can prebook everything online and be assured of the experience.

Low key local ski hill that's great for families and beginners. My six year old loved the tubing hill.
