Unbelievable experience that included up close 3 million bats (1 albino), a wasp carrying her dead tarantula prize, snakes, owl, horse, cattle, deer and more! You don't need a 4x4 but low clearance vehicles definitely won't make it out there. Low water crossing just before the preserve was about 1.5ft deep and 30 yards wide. Bats were in full exit at 7:45 on 9/3 and what a view.

One of the neatest family adventures you'll ever experience. Since the bats are the boss, it's a good idea to call and make sure the gates are open. Even if they are closed, the country vistas make the drive well worth your time.
