Ecohouse installed my rooftop solar in January 2021. They are local, professional, and experienced (designing and installing solar since 2008). I asked a lot of technical questions, and they knew their stuff! I'm very happy with my experience, and I would highly recommend them to others.

Ecohouse solar installed a 7.68 kw system on the roof of our home. Jeff gave a very detailed proposal specific to our property, and the system should cover 98% of our electric usage. He answered all of our questions, explained the entire process, and showed up for every appointment, whether it was with ecohouse or not (city inspection, electrical work, monitoring equipment installation). From signing the contract to completing the installation took about 4 months, with the installation itself taking less than a day. Our home needed some electrical upgrades due to an old breaker, and were completed without difficulty. We are looking forward to using our solar panels for years to come!
I had Ecohouse come out and quote a system for me last year. After we worked out some options regarding panels and other hardware I decided to go ahead and have them install a system on my roof. Throughout the process from quoting to actual installation they were professional and knowledgeable, explaining my options and then taking care when they were in and around my property while working. Over a year later I’ve had no problems with my system or my roof and I’ve been very satisfied. It’s easy to assume solar won’t work in the Midwest but that’s no longer true from my personal experience and I’m happy to recommend ecohouse if you’re exploring it for your own home.
I genuinely can’t say enough in support of EcoHouse and Andy Kuss. I would recommend them to anyone considering solar panels for their house. After we initially met, Andy was quick in response to all the random questions we thought of and any changes we requested. He helped design a system perfect for our needs. The EcoHouse team was thorough and professional and worked to ensure all proper city and HOA permitting. The install crew was composed completely of extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful individuals. They worked hard to install the system and explain everything they completed. Once everything was installed and the final permits were issued by the city, Andy sat down with us again and went over the final details as well as monitoring software to make sure we could properly monitor the system production. All in all, every person we worked with at EcoHouse with was kind, patient and helpful and we couldn’t be happier with our solar install.
Ecohouse solar installed a 19 panel 5.27 kwp array on our home in July of 2019. Jeff did a great job communicating and instructing us on the process. The build crew was excellent. We have met the output targets that Jeff predicted and expect to meet our payback estimate. We've produced 6.73 MWh so far and it feels good to be harnessing the power from the sun. We've saved 47% off of our electric bills for the past year. We would highly recommend Ecohouse and would be happy to have them update our next house as well.
