I was running late because of traffic, but they were able to schedule me for a little later same day. My appointment went quickly. I didn't feel rushed though. The eye doctor was wonderful. Talked me through the whole way and she was super skillful at her job. A wonderful experience from start to end. I LOVE my new glasses.

If you are going to shop at Costco to buy glasses or contact lenses, that is probably ok, but I highly recommend you go to a proper eye doctor to get your eyes checked. It is clear that eye doctor at Costco was more interested in updating the prescription than in assessing the health of the eyes.

Update: Been to REAL EYE DOCTOR twice since CostCo, stable Rx. CostCo doctor Rx wrong!! CostCo glasses eye problems. The eye doctor at Costco was more interested in updating my prescription (to sell glasses) than in assessing the health of my eyes. That COSTCO can sell you new glasses. Eye doctor updated my prescription at a cost of almost 200 billed insurance. When driving the car dashboard was fuzzy with new CostCo glasses; Also long distance eye strain after a few hours of use. Old glasses still worked fine. CostCo doctor bumped up the power of the new prescription and made one eye stronger. This caused problems. Finally went to REAL EYE CLINC and their prescription identical to my old glasses which had remained the same for 4 years before going to CostCo. So CostCo just wasted 200 of my money and insurance that paid for the doctor visit but not the glasses. MY EYES SUFFERED WHILE COSTCO MADE MONEY!!

I got my glasses from Costco months ago and they needed to be adjusted. I came in today and Danielle helped me. It was truly amazing! It took her literally two tries and they fit my face better than the day I got them. Thank you again!!!

Anya, the Optical Manager was so kind and patient with me today. I was picking up my first pair of bifocals and I was confused about my prescription how it was written. She spent way more time than necessary helping me sort out my new glasses and the new plan going forward. I had so many questions and she couldn't have been more gracious, kind and patient. I will definitely return!

Extremely unhappy customer. I ordered a new pair of glasses last month. I had trouble seeing properly. I went there after using 1 week and this guy did not agree and said nothing wrong with the glasses and said it is according to the prescription. He kept on arguing, matter of fact he started fighting. Again after 2 weeks I was so unhappy I went and told them that I am not happy. This time, one lady checked glasses with actual prescription given and said it had a wrong prescription and she sent my glasses to lab for correction. After 1 week I received new glasses. But this time also I had same issue. Once again I went back and expressed my concern and they were so rude they asked me to go to eye doctor for checkup. I was very upset. Just now I got a new pair from some other optical store based on the same prescription given to Costco. Now, my new glasses, from different opticals is perfectly fine and I am happy. I will never ever recommend Costco. While speaking to couple of friends, I found out that they also had same issues with Costco. Please do not go to COSTCO OPTICALS!!

Costco in Eden Prairie vision center in ophthalmology is the worst! Not only did I get the wrong prescription for my eyeglasses and contacts I was given the wrong Contacts even though I told her that they hurt my eyes before I try tried that brand they were the most expensive brand and she said to just try them again and I if they didn't work she said I could come back in and get the ones I wanted. I did that they didn't have them in stock they said they order them for me I had surgery major major surgery By the time I came back she said it had been too long even though it's been two months and they could not write me another prescription for contacts so I could not get the brand that worked for me and the prescription was actually wrong so my eyeglasses and contacts or not accurate they wouldn't re-examined my eyes I was also exposed to shingles and even though I'm a young age I started to get red eyes and blurriness and she wouldn't check my eyes to see if there was something going on with them. She refused to see me and just had me come in and she said to buy eyedrops. However they did give me samples for Mom cleaning my contacts and they gave me contact drops so that's why I gave them the star because I was actually really awesome but the holder experience I would never go back to the one ending in Eden Prairie also the Eye Center is separate from the store so if you have an issue with them Costco won't help you. Worst experience of my life with an eye doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first trip to Costco Optical. I have previously bought prescription eye wear from Target and a high end place. As I am bad at looking after my glasses I decided not to spend another 600 on a pair, so went to Target. The selection was poor, the service was dreadful. I did eventually get a "Sale Price" of 350 plus tax for a complete pair with a 129 frame and 25% off. I go to Costco for all the usual stuff in giant sized quantities and had not considered their eye wear. After today's visit I will never go anywhere else. There were two optical specialists there. They worked as a team to take car of myself and others, while never making you feel any less than completely attended to. That's a skill. The selection of frames was really very good and I was asked if I would like to browse myself or get their advice. I had questions, not the least of which was about quality of lens and the price. Their best lenses (digital, progressive, bifocal, poly with anti-glare and anti-scratch and transitional color) were 159.99. That was a better lens than Target, for less than half the price. I bought two complete pairs with very nice frames for 387 including tax and had a great customer experience doing so. Thanks Costco, you have once again proven to be the best choice. Bath rolls, cheese sticks, Bounty, frozen fish and now, eye glasses!
