Chesca's Restaurant Reviews | Rating 4.1 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Chesca's Restaurant is located in Edgartown, United States on 38 N Water St. Chesca's Restaurant is rated 4.1 out of 5 in the category restaurant in United States. sca’s Restaurant in Edgartown is a Martha’s Vineyard favorite for Italian cuisine with a focus on coastal ingredients. With an exciting blend of comfort and gourmet offerings, Chesca’s Restaurant is one you don’t want to miss whether you live in the area or are vacationing. hough there are plenty of other choices at Chesca’s Restaurant, the seafood is the biggest draw. A particular favorite is the seafood paella that is chock full of more types of seafood and meats than you normally see – littleneck clams, mussels, chorizo, shrimp, scallops and even lobster! Speaking of lobster, the lobster ravioli with seared sea scallops in a light sherry cream is a show-stopper as well. It might be difficult, but save room for dessert because the chocolate pot de crème and creamsicle cake won’t be denied.

So disappointed, my party was called to ask to change reservations and of course we did since businesses are just reopening. We sat down took a little longer than usual but finally ordered a drink but with in this time another table was seated for 2 . Maybe they were food critics but honestly they had 3 or 4 courses delivered to there table and the staff was falling over them . We were seated at 6:45 and at 9:30 we finally left and no we did not have dessert. I wish I could say it was the best meal I ever had would of made a 300.00 bill seem worth it . But it wasn’t. Sadly when you know your staff is not having a good night you at least come over and tell the guest please be patient but obviously that wasn’t the case for the other table . Sadly we were not even offered a glass of wine for a 2 hour delay in receiving our meal obviously was a disaster of a birthday celebration. I have been a customer of this restaurant long before it was Chesca’s and Decoy and many other owners . I can honestly say worst experience I have had . I will not return this visit which we usually go 2 to 3 times a trip. I normally do not write a review unless it’s positive but tonite was unacceptable.

Do not miss the braised short ribs. They were SO GOOD. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs - he said the meatballs were great but the dish overall was just ok. The cocktails we had (espresso martini and old fashioned) were good but not exceptional. I would come back just to eat those short ribs again!

The drinks and food was amazing ! Staff was nice over the phone and professional once we got there. The server was attentive. I had the sea salt caramel martini and the salmon it was delicious, had the key lime pie for desert and it was really good! Highly Recommend!

Fabulous Restaurant! Food was mouth watering. The clam chowder was excellent. The mussels, cod and scallops were amazing! Style, decor, staff, meal - all out of this world! Definitely a keeper!

Was disappointed by the attitude of the hostess and servers. Came across as superior to the patrons.

It was crowded when we arrived and had to wait to sit at the side bar. Ordered drinks and appetizers. The food was outstanding! We had the gnocchi with mushroom gorgonzola sauce, the meatballs, and the crispy eggplant with buratta. Service was slow, as our waiter was the main bartender as well. Worth the wait. Friendly staff. Excellent food.

We are a foodie couple with successful professional careers, visiting Edgartown on a regular basis. We have been to many of the best restaurants not just in Edgartown but in other places around the world through our travels. Based on the reviews, we had high hopes for Chesca’s as well. After checking in with the hostess, who took our name and phone number (shockingly we were in their contacts), we were sent to wait on the patio and were offered a drink menu, which we thought was a nice touch. After this point, we were rudely ignored by the cocktail waitress for about 30 minutes. Other guests arriving later, waiting on the patio for their table were served cocktails by same waitress much sooner. She even refused to acknowledge us until my husband had to finally flag her on a not large patio by any means, where you really could see everybody. We have noticed that all other bigger parties arriving after us were now already seated in the restaurant. At this point the cocktail waitress came by again, and asked if we wanted another drink. We politely said that we prefer to just wait for our table. The waitress at this time gave us our check, which was surprising. Usually when you have to wait and are offered drinks, restaurants inform you up front, if the bar bill is separate. After waiting for over an hour, another restaurant called us where we were previously waitlisted, so we paid for the drinks, but since we weren’t sure if the other place would still have our table by the time we got there, we never declined our table reservation at Chesca’s. Later in the evening we realized that Chesca’s ultimately never called us to seat us at a table. Thankfully we didn’t end up waiting on their patio the rest of the evening and had a place to dine at. Only giving 2 stars for the quality of cocktails. Service lacks big time.
