I decided to find a new dentist closer to home and chose Edgewood Family Dentistry. After the first visit I was very pleased with my decision. Dr. Chien and the staff is professional, courteous and helpful. They were easy to schedule with and above all the appointment started on time as scheduled.

My experience being a patient with Dr. Chien (when he was still in Bellevue) started off fine. However, when I needed a crown placed on a molar, it is my opinion that I received subpar care. After the crown was installed, I immediately felt that something was majorly wrong. I went back to Dr. Chien several times (I believe 7 times in all) to have my bite adjusted, as the crown felt extremely uncomfortable and painful. I even consulted two other dentists who both recommended that I return to Dr. Chien to get the problem resolved. In my opinion, Dr. Chien was unable or unwilling to correct my bite discomfort caused from the faulty crown installation. This experience was extremely traumatic, and it took me moving to another city (and over two years later) to find a dentist who had no problem identifying and resolving the issue. By that time, the crown was significantly worn down, but luckily did not have to be replaced. In addition, Dr. Chien billed my insurance for an occlusal adjustment, even though this was the result of his work. Furthermore, I bought a night guard from him to help resolve my pain which turned out to do the opposite. When I asked Dr. Chien to adjust the night guard, he refused. My new dentist's words were, \this crown is sky high and should have never been placed like this in your mouth\ and \the night guard is way too tight and would do more harm than good\.

As new patients, my wife Sarah and I received nothing but the highest-quality service! From courteous reception, professionalism, warm atmosphere and welcoming environment, every visit has been enjoyable; I was in and out for a procedure in under an hour!

Went for the first time and it was very welcoming, I forgot everyone’s name but I had a really awesome woman giving me my cleaning and she was super funny but not over the top, and she was extremely gentle while doing my cleaning. The dentist was extremely nice and did his job well. They had me in and out in about 45 min they took some x-rays of my teeth when i had questions about my wisdom teeth.
