So good. This was one of my favorite meals during our travels of the UK! Best steak pie. Hearty portions. Beautiful restaurant. Great service.

An amazing restaurant. I love all the animal inspired artwork around the place. The venison was delicious. Service was good. However I was a little disappointed when I ordered a whisky, they asked how I would like it, I request it be served how ever they suggested (because I didn't know what was typical in Edinburgh), then was served the drink with ALL the options on the side (water & ice). It's a minor complaint, but when asked for a suggestion I don't want to be given a lost of all the options. Educate me So i can decide or make the decision for me. Highly recommended.
Location 5/5 close to Princes Street; Interior 5/5 with lots of quirky pictures on the wall of badgers, frogs and foxes; Food 5/5 - had the beef pie and a cauliflower dish that were both on point. Furthermore, the soundtrack was impeccable, with lots of R&B and jazzy tunes. Might be of the best restaurants in Edinburgh.
We went for the Badger's Boozy Brunch and wow, what an amazing value! You get so much food and 4 drinks (prosecco, coffee, juice, whatever) for only 25 per person. The wait staff was great, the dining environment was fun and funky with animal portraits and neon signage on the walls, the ambient music wasn't too loud or distracting, and the restrooms were clean and tidy. 5-stars all the way, and we'll absolutely be back the next time we come to Edinburgh. I hope readers will find my review and pictures helpful. #TabesTravels
Fantastic food and friendly staff. Both the bartender and waitress I encountered were knowledgable in their field and a pleasure to talk to. The decor of the place is delightful, and runs in the theme of "wind in the willows". The food was good quality and they also have a separate children's menu for those with youngsters. Overall a very pleasant experience on a rainy day in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend.
A big group of us had brunch here - food and drinks were great, and the bar is really cool. Will definitely be back! We had a dairy intolerant request and they more than accommodated.
What a fab relaxing place to eat - fresh, tasty food with great friendly staff! 10/10 all rounder...atmosphere, wine, menu & coffee, it had it all.
Went here to celebrate my dads 65th birthday with a small family gathering. Booked out the toad hall room downstairs, which had a sonos sound system, large retractable projection screen, projector hooked up to sky, DVDs available for the kids to watch. We were a party of 12, 9 adults and 3 kids a high chair was ready in the room upon arrival as were activity packs for all the kids. Other features of the room were seating around edges away from the main table, the main table itself after eating can be converted into a pool table in the centre of the room and a shuffleboard table along one wall. The food was delicious, my wife had steak which was huge and I had the fish and chips, I generally have a large appetite however my fish was to big for even me to eat all of it after my starter. The staff were very attentive and looked after us brilliantly helping to get the av equipment all set up to enjoy the champions league final
