Lunchtime is the perfect time to head to Burger Meats Bun for a delicious burger filled offering. The beef burger was a delight - cooked perfectly with plenty of taste and flavour. The sea salt chips are very salty as is to be expected although buying them separately from the burger was a little bit annoying but that is probably just me! Overall it is a cool atmosphere with really lovely staff. I would go back again for lunch.

I want to love this place, but it's just not quite perfect. It has a nice atmosphere and mix of folk and the staff were really friendly. I went for the big cheese burger and a vanilla shake. The shake was delicious, but maybe a bit too large (not something I would normally complain about), but it left me with little space to enjoy my burger! Overall a nice place, with friendly staff (and an exceptionally cute burger logo) but the food wasn't anything extraordinary and it was a little pricey.

Liked it is an understatement, I really, really enjoyed my burger. The only reason I am not giving Burger Meats Bun 5 stars is due to the heat - very hot and sweaty, no AC. Anyways, onto the food... Eating out in an establishment that only serves locally sourced, organic/free range meat is hugely refreshing. There aren't many places that invest in good quality meet, so this was an instant tick for me. I was finally able to order a chicken burger and not feel dirty about it. My chicken burger was so tasty and the chips - my goodness - chilli fries with cheese were taken to a new level. These fries were some of the best I've ever eaten, seriously yummy. I was also impressed with the drinks menu, which was, as per the meat, a selection of Edinburgh / Scotland based distillers / breweries. Edinburgh Gin and tonic with a burger goes down a treat. This is where to go for burgers in Edinburgh.

Excellent burgers. Best burger joint in Edinburgh. Flavourful patties, great brioche buns and amazing fries. Does tend to get pretty busy so book or be prepared to wait.

Burger fans be warned, once you’ve tasted the delights of Burger Meats Bun, no other burger will ever taste the same again. Prime meat is served up between a golden brioche bun, slathered in top quality cheddar and all for your delectation. And wow, is it good. Beef burgers aren’t the only option. There are chicken and vegetarian offerings, plus specials, which in the past have included a seriously tasty pulled pork number. The chips at Burger Meats Bun are crispy and golden and if you’re in the market for more than one side, the haggis popcorn is seriously tasty. A top-notch burger joint, in one of Edinburgh’s trendiest areas, Burger Meats Bun really does have everything going for it.

As other people who have reviewed BMB here have said, maybe I also had high expectations. The food was alright (the meat was too dry for my taste) and took around 25min to arrive after we ordered. Also didn't enjoy too much the fact that there are no plates. It's worth giving it a try if you're around the area, but I've had better burgers in other places in Edinburgh.

I was overly excited for Burger Meats Bun to open in Edinburgh. I have heard great reviews of the one in Glasgow and went along on the opening day. However i was disappointed. The atmosphere was lacking and the staff were circling to clear our wrappers as soon as we took the last bite of the burgers. This may be down to the fact that it was the first day but still it took away from the experience. I wasn't overly impressed with the menu as well, there is little variety considering the competitors for burger joints in Edinburgh. I may try it again in a while to see if it was just teething problems but for the future i will try some other of Edinburgh's wide burger offerings.

Had dinner here with friends. Newly opened and replacing the well loved Urban Angel sited there for a number of years. We all tried a variety of dishes and none disappointed. Belly pork and chorizo burger to die for. Chicken and beef options looked great as well. Got a range of sides from normal and cheese fries to haggis bonbons, mac 'n' cheese deep fried balls (YOU MUST TRY THEM...), slaw and wings. Totally over ordered as you do but enjoyed it all. Our waiter was great and was always at hand if we wanted something. Good drinks menu with the usual including old fashioned milk bottle milkshakes.
