Nice! I've been living in Edinburgh for years and had no idea this place existed! The park is situated in a valley and is a nature reserve of sorts. At the centre is a large pond with jetties suitable for small boats at one end. The other end is full of reeds (all rushes as far as I could tell). Plenty of waterfowl and even a couple of swans -- right in the middle of the city! Most of the park is woods though, which is also lovely. What was less nice is that there are only a couple of main routes through the park (there are some additional ones marked \hill top\) and they were very busy and muddy. This is definitely going to be a better place to visit in the summer, and especially when COVID is no longer a concern. For now, I'm giving it just four stars ...

It's a great place just to walk around :)
Peace and quiet in the middle of the capital city, with magnificent views to the Borders, East/West Lothian and Ben Lomond.
Lovely walk and views
Lovley place to take in the view within a city.
