Lovely food well presented although crepes would have been tastier if they'd been warm. Good choice on menu for all three courses and service was very good. Efficient but not overbearing

We stayed at the apex hotel so we ate the soup of the day and after that asked for room service and ordered a burger and an apple tart. We got hot tasty fresh food with a smile.
Typical posh superfucial but devoid cafe in Edinburgh. Arogent assistant served me an espresso in a large cup , then tried to palm the blame back to me when I'd stressed in clearly that I wanted it the tradional way. Making and serving a decent espresso is not rocket science. The cheeky co w had the termancity to swear at me when I got up to leave. These people are a joke they charge loads of money for a small coffee but cant even switch their mind on for the basics. The gormless manager then came on the scene and offered to pour the already made shot into a smaller cup. If you just want to go somwhere to come and look self important on your lap tap and not too bothered about quality this is the place for you. I've had coffee in here before and its always hit and miss .

We were a group of 10 mates and the fixed price dining offer appealed to us for a Tuesday meal out (2 or 3 courses for 13 or 16). The restaurant was quite quiet and we felt very well looked after throughout. Portions were generous and the food was of a high quality. Staff were extremely attentive and responsive to our needs. Highly recommended
