I couldn't have asked for more from my experience at Emma Roy. I can't recommend assistant Amy enough. She started by asking me what look I was going for and price range (noting she would not let me try any dress on that was over my budget). She knew all the dresses as if they were people...... every name, detail, style. When trying dresses on and hearing what I liked or didn't like about each she came up with suggestions of different dresses to try. When I found one I really liked she made me transform it into the one I loved. She let me see the bespoke alteration options and play about with all the different buttons, lace and sheer overlays. Before fully committing to the dress Amy said she would contact the dress designer and see if my personal changes were possible and how much they would cost. She called me the morning of the following working day. I really couldn't have asked for more. I can't wait to go back in a few months and try on MY dress and see everything come to life. Thank you Amy and Emma Roy.

The dresses were beautiful but I didn't appreciate how there was another trial at the same time as mine, particularly during these challenging times. I had to walk behind another bride to be and her guest in the main space in order to be able to see myself on a mirror in the back of the room. I feel I should have been informed that there were going to be two trials at the same time so I could have chosen whether to go ahead with it or not. The lady that was looking after me was also a little dismissive, not particularly engaged or pleasant towards me. I didn't feel comfortable during the trial. I've had a much better experience at other bridal stores in the city.

I came in on my own due to the current restrictions a few times for dress fittings and you put me at ease every time. The dress fitted like a glove and I was so pleased with the lace sleeves you added. Everyone who was at the wedding and has since seen the photos asked where I got my beautiful dress.Thanks again, Jane
Had a fantastic experience at Emma Roy, despite it only being the second week of them being open post-lockdown. There are so many dresses to choose from. Amy made the whole experience so special and listened to everything I said and picked out my perfect dress, she went above and beyond to get exactly what I wanted and to get a veil to match. I would recommend Emma Roy to anyone looking for their wedding dress.
The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, they are great with their communication also (when the dress arrives). We were very pleased with the pricing, it is very fair and the lady that looked after me showed me dresses within my price range rather than making me feel I had to spend more. Very pleased with the whole experience, I would definitely recommend to anyone!
Had a fantastic experience at Emma Roy! Charlotte was amazing so helpful and patient. Can't believe I managed to find my dress in first shop. Loads of dresses to choose from. Nothing seemed to much hassle or that I was being to fussy. Definitely recommend and so nice that I was able to collect and try dress on again few days later!
Everyone in Emma Roy of Edinburgh were spectacular. I was in a time crunch, but found a dress that was perfect for my wedding day. From trying things on right through to collecting my dress. I could not have asked for a better experience. Mhairi not only helped me find my dress, but gave me some great advice for the wedding. I am genuinely sad that I don't have another reason to keep visiting because everyone was so lovely!
I went in on a Saturday with my best friend Claire (bride to be) and the experience was terrible! We were not seen to and got ignored by the girl who seemed like she was to serve us. I think she was too busy with someone else (made us feel invisible). I would not recommend this store due to this reason. Shopping for a dress should be a lovely experience and she ended up finding a lovely dress from a beautiful store who actually us.
