Overall a very lovely experience for lunch. The food was quite tasty and so beautifully seasoned. Don’t miss the haggis. Yum! Service was great and atmosphere was top notch. Everything you want in a Scottish dining establishment.

A wonderful little traditional pub with some Classic scottish food if you want to try some local grub! We took our dog and she was very welcome, had her own little bowl! Social distance measures in place and tasty food, so close to so many attractions too!

This was a wonders experience and we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Edinburgh. The staff and food are wonderful. Do yourself a favor and try the haggis (pictured) with mashed swede, mashed potatoes, and gravy to pour on the top. We had this as a starter and then we both had the steak and ale pie and can’t wait to go and try more.

A good pub which caters mainly to tourists due to its location and its history. The nearby church and graveyard are also worth visiting. The graveyard is a lot larger than it appears from outside as it is surrounded by high buildings.

Lovely traditional pub just in old town. Drinks were in prefect condition but bit slow service. Nice atmospheric place with plenty of seats in & outside. They r offering delicious & tasty food.

The food was NOT good....Giving this 2 stars because the beer was good and the servers were nice, although very slow and somewhat disorganized....Specifically - the mashed turnips were terribly bland and gross. - I got the roast beef “special” of the day. It was the toughest meat I’ve ever had at a restaurant. In the picture below you will see all the meet I literally couldn’t chew and had to spit out. They also only gave me a butterknife that wasn’t able to cut the meat

Had some wonderful food but OK service. I just stopped in there took way too long for a table so we had to sit in the bar area. But the food was really good. Actually have decent prices which we were surprised by.

We really liked the atmosphere of the pub. The prices for drinks are fair, food as well. However, we had two Ribeye Steaks - both of them were over done. That shouldn't happen for more than 18 per piece. Staff were friendly and were good at keeping the distance due to Covid. Toilets were clean.
