Appalling service, appalling treatment, appalling communications. Took TEN DAYS to explain to me why they think it's appropriate to charge my 150 ... 50% of it is because my solicitor gave them 8 and not 10 working days notice my sale date (even though me, the homeowner, told them several weeks previously). Frankly, charging someone even 75 to divide some charges by 2 is ludicrous. At no point have I seen their full terms and conditions (nor were they made available) until after I challenged unfair, unreasonable charges. If you are unlucky enough to live in a property 'factored' by this company, I strongly suggest requesting the term so you cannot be burned too. All this underlines the poor service received whilst I lived at the relevant property - erratic & inconsistent charges, poor communication, slow responses etc.

After 5 years as a property owner in a building \managed\ by H&P I have a poor opinion of the company as do my neighbours. With the exception of stair cleaning and electrical services, the standard of business they subcontract to carry out repairs is very poor. Most customer-facing staff are pleasant and try to be helpful but they appear powerless to actually improve the service. All in all, it feels like the customer comes last for whoever runs the show here.
This past year has been my first experience of a factoring service. The responses by our factor, Amy Kirk, have been consistently polite and helpful.
Just received a quote for our estate for some litter picking - 2,500!!!! And good luck trying to get through to the number on the letter because their phone system doesn't seem to recognise when you press the number for the service you need. Awful.
Hi, I called yesterday and spoke with Michael regarding my flat at East Pilton farm rigg where all of the ceiling in all the 3 rooms are wet may be due to the bad weather from day before yesterdays storm. I mentioned this as a matter of urgency as my ceiling plaster had huge bubbles as if it is going to come down. Michael assured me that we will contact you as soon as possible and after 24 hrs no response so i called them today 13/08/20 and spoke with the property manager Mhairi Epton who was very rude and kept on saying i was on annual leave and dont know anything about it. I called today at 16.30 and even though she came back from her annual leave she had enough time from 10:00 in the morning until 16.30 to find out as whats happening with the properties they have undertaken and its their fundamental duty to sort of the problems and specially when its a matter of UGENCY. THESE PEOPLE JUST COLLECT 85 PER MONTH FROM EACH FLAT and keep their feets up at job without doing their job properly. Mhairi just gave me a lame excuse that all the contractors are busy and we will send someone next week it means after 5-6 days, this is their professionalism and this is how Hacker and Paterson takes matter as an Urgency. She never gave me a date and time as when the contractors will come because i know they have not spoken or not interested to sort out the problem even though its a health hazard. She then told me i have nothing else to say and hung up the phone on me.VERY RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She is absolutely has no manners as how to speak with clients. I think we should look for some other management company as we pay lot more compare to other management companiesin Edinburgh. I will also proceed further by taking advice from the citizen advice bureau as this is an unacceptable behaviour from a manager. Being a doctor i dont come to the hospital afer annual leave and say to my patients i dont know anything about you as i have come from annual leave.
