Highly recommend Loudons! Went for breakfast with my boyfriend and we were very satisfied after our meal. Portions were a generous size and had nice big pots of tea each. The space itself was spacious, bright and clean. All the staff were super kind and thank you to Charles who served us-he was really sweet! Vegetarian friendly-I found plenty of things I could eat as a non mean eater. Will definitely visit again for breakfast and lunch.

Possibly my favourite place for brunch in Edinburgh (along with its other venue in Fountainbridge), Loudons makes breakfasts very well indeed. They have all sorts to choose from (savoury and sweet) but I love their Bennys, their wide selection of poached eggs served with lots of delicious stuff. Two firm favourites are the salmon and spinach ones with turmeric sauce; and the ones with haggis, caramelized onion and sweet chilly sauce. They are the best way to start the day.

Spacious restaurant with a nice atmosphere and a good selection of food and a decent selection of vegetarian options. The salad is quite bitter for my own preference but the burger and fries is decent. Wouldn't say it tastes amazing though and it's a little pricey.

We had an amazing breakfast! Very friendly staff, great service and absolutely good food! We liked the large spaces and the calming colours of the interior design. I was impressed also by the cleanliness of the bathroom.
