Very tasteful Japanese food for an affordable price, so if you're travelling on a budget and looking for a nice meal then this is definitely the place to go. Sometimes it takes a little while to get served but its definitely worth it, especially the takoyaki I had were delicious. If I'm ever in Edinburgh again I'll definitely come again and try some different options from their menu!

Fab food!! Service wasnt too bad, they were abit understaffed but we were still served efficiently
Once you enter into the resto, you can tell the place is not clean, it smells like a dirty rag. It seems to be a place run by a Chinese, their sanitary standard is quite low. The qty of every dishes is quite small for the money. Théy charge 5 bites of eel, 12.95 pounds. One of the most expensive dishes that I ever had. The taste is also not authentic. I would discourage everyone to eat here. My bf got sick within one hour eating the food.
Lovely food. Good value for money
Being a big Japanese food fanatic we popped in here for a bite to eat during the fringe. The food was fine, however my donburi lacked flavour and was quite dry. The food was edible and tasty enough but it just did not have the wow factor some other Japanese places I have been have. The service was also a little bit slow. I wouldn't rave about this place and wouldn't go out of my way to return.
The staff was very nice, loved the food, a nice and quiet spot with real tasty plum wine!
After 3 visits, editing my previous review. The first time we visited, the food was delicious, came quickly and was reasonably priced. The last two times we've been, the yakitori grill has been broken, and a 4th time I phoned ahead to check if it was working, to have the woman in the kitchen tell me she didn't know what yakitori was. The food is decent, but I've had better Japanese food in Edinburgh elsewhere. On my second and third visit, I finally saw what other reviewers have experienced with the long waits, it was an hour from when we sat down until our starters arrived. We had ordered gyoza, and karaage. For all of the reasons above, have edited my review to be 3 stars; "It's OK"
