Awesome place to get a great haircut. Gender is not important here, great for non-binary people. They ask your pronouns when you make an appointment online :) Have had haircuts from Murray and Quentin and both turned out wonderful.

Angus at Stagg Barbers has been my go to for two years now. It is a lovely and welcoming shop, with excellent and friendly staff. It has a real community vibe with a tonne of regulars. The cut it's self is excellent and the reason I keep coming back. Angus has listened to what I want and helped me craft the cut I never knew I needed. He has my business for as long as I am still in Edinburgh.

Okay here is the sparknotes version: Choose Stag. You won't be sorry. Here is the far less abridged version: I lived in Edinburgh for nearly two years, a few years ago, and I unfortunately only discovered Stag Barber Co. towards the end of my time there, but it quickly left an impression on me. So years later, when I had the opportunity to visit it again on a week-long trip to this beautiful city, I couldn't pass it up. And folks, I was not disappointed. Not only does Stag use cruelty free products, they also happen to price gender-neutrally (something I am very for having had quite short hair for some time now). Furthermore, you can not beat the service. The first time I went, I had the privilege of being made over by Nicole. And that trim, to this day, was the most empowering memorable haircut I've ever had in my life. (This is not an exaggeration. I can still recall walking around the city afterwords feeling like a heroine from the novel, and acting like a complete narcissist every time I passed my reflection on a shop window or passing bus). This time around I had the immense pleasure of meeting and having my hair styled by Asha. Not only was the cut clean, brilliant, and exactly what I was envisioning, time with this incredible woman alone was worth every penny. She is the best company. I laughed chatted through the entire process (nearly forgetting I was there for a haircut and not to visit someone who quickly felt like an old friend). She even gave me recommendations of cute stops in the area that I was staying in for the week! My greatest regret is that I didn't manage to sneak in for a blow-dry before I left, just to say to the amazing team. So, instead, I will settle for encouraging you to book an appointment right this minute and have an exceptionally magical experience yourself :)
