Brilliant night out for those who dislike clubs but still like staying out late. Very tolerant staff which have seen me in some states, I thank you. The music is the main draw for me, (blur, the smiths, pulp, the cure, happy Mondays, stone roses etc.) all available on request if the dj hasn't played them already or doesn't reckon you to be a fanny. (Rare.) Best club in Edinburgh.

One of my old favourites to frequent and have spent a lot of time here in my younger days. Very dingy place but that adds to its atmosphere and character. Rubbish layout for a club but they sell Red Stripe from the tin so that makes everything ok. The tunes cater for a certain taste which is mainly UK indie music from 80’s through to present day with a few obscure songs splattered in there too. To my knowledge it doesn’t really put on any different nights so maybe not the most innovative club in Edinburgh but at the same time I love the tunes so I don't want it to change or do any different nights.

Bit of a sticky floor dive, but great retro music. Don't dress up and be prepared for some colorful characters!

The Citrus Club is a fantastic small Venue just off Lothian Road and opposite the Usher Hall. It attracts a slightly older audience and is not dependant on the student market. Music is pretty focused on Indie and 80s but with a touch of Punk. It has a capacity of around 350. Other than slight refurbishments, new sound and lights, the club has remained the same since at least the early 90s. Its down to earth, its about the people and the music. Its not about trying to show off and be trendy. This club has a large group of very loyal regulars. Even before the smoking ban they enforced a house rule of no smoking in the bar area. Prices are average. Doorstaff, staff and management are friendly!

Bit dingy but it's all part of the experience. Great music - mostly retro tunes and everybody is just there to have a good time.

Box office and cloakroom are efficient, but gents needs some work, and when I was there, there were no draught beers available. The décor is ugly and the sound quality is variable.

Could do with a little update to decor, but great music!

Nice and sleazy venue playing indie hits until the wee hours. Cash only!
