I didn't come and get a meal. I got an experience. The atmosphere, professionalism and great service was top notch. The food was an absolute mind melting pleasure. It was portioned perfectly, locally sourced and created with precision and craftsmanship that I have never imagined. There is a minor wait for the food, but as the saying goes: you can't rush perfection. And that's what my night was here. It was perfect. Currently the COVID measures here are quite cleverly implemented in a safe, non intrusive addition of well positioned barriers. I felt safer here than anywhere else. All in all a fantastic end of my day. I'd give it 6/5 stars if I could and next time I'm up in Scotland I will certainly be back.

A very atmospheric restaurant with only 14 tables, so quite intimate, with low volume background music and low lighting in the basement. We were served by the head waitress who was excellent throughout the evening. Took our drinks and food orders, corrects the owner when she brought the wrong beer, brought the bill without being asked and saw us out. The best service we have seen anywhere in the world and she’s Scottish too. The food was great from bread, amuse bouchée to starter through to dessert. A limited set menu but interesting Scottish produce.

What a fabulous find! I can't believe we've not eaten here before. Just had the most wonderful 3 course meal for 2 with drinks and aperitifs for under 100. The service is excellent and it's all the other little additional extras that make it so special - delicious bread and oils, the amuse-bouche and pre-desserts - the attention to detail is incredible. The surroundings are tastefully decorated and additional safety measures are done with subtlety in mind We enjoyed it so much we've re-booked for another meal in a fortnight's time!

Is really really good, from bread starter to finished everything cooked perfectly, I also like the way their dessert not overly sweet and have some sourness to balance make it very appetising even after full up. Definitely the best restaurant I had in Edinburgh .Value for money too. Will definitely come back for another day.
