I only went for advice as I'm considering buying a camera and wanted to see what some of the models looked like in real life as well as listen to the experience of the staff. Civil restrictions meant I had to wait until someone left before entering, but thats tr6for many shops and made me feel that they are taking safety seriously. I was given disposable plastic gloves so that I could pick up the cameras to get a proper feel of size and weight. I got really good service and the guy I spoke to was happy to spend time and didn't rush me. He knew what he was talking about and was able to answer all of my questions. He showed me 5 cameras and a number of lenses. I didn't buy today because the one I decided on means I have to save a little more, but I will definitely come back and make my purchase here. Update 28/11/2020 I went back having saved a bit more and dine some more research. Got great support again. Got to see the cameras I was interested in "in the flesh" and ask questions. Made my purchase of a Sony A7 iii and kit lens. Will definitely come back when I am ready for other lenses and accessories. Happy to recommend Wex.

Never buy camera equipment from anywhere else other than WEX and having a store in Edinburgh ensures that I can drop off equipment or pop in for advice where required. I have been lucky to attend several open days and come away with the odd bargain as a result and highly recommend their trade in and second hand services.

I sought advice by email and as a novice user was impressed by the support and advice I received regarding the type of lenses to use with a Sony A7C. Despite contact and communication being limited during the restrictions we are under, I was very impressed with the service I received. This is my first contact with Wex. Seems like a very good selection of equipment but was made to feel pretty unwelcome on my first visit to this shop today. The cabinet I was interested in was lying wide open and I asked one of the guys if I was ok to touch a lens. Got a rude no before he strode over, shut the cabinet and walked off. I'd been working all day and I guess I didn't look like I could afford for a telephoto lens. I know it's cutting my nose off but having been treated like something fit to be scraped off a shoe there's just no way I could bear to hand this shop any of my money.

Went in for a charger. The had a spare charger with no cable lying around that they gave me for free. Can't thank you enough, got me out a tight spot for the weekend! Thank you so much (had the missing cable part at home)

I was told by a member of staff on the phone that I could sell a camera lens for cash as long as it was on the website list of desired lenses and was obviously in good condition. My lens fit those criteria. All I had to do was go to the Edinburgh shop. I travelled from Glasgow to Edinburgh. When I arrived I was told that they couldn't evaluate or buy. It had to be sent to Norwich! Completely cold attitude to boot. AVOID. Will never go near them again.
