The Growing Coaches is an innovative new service which connects and matches coaches undergoing accredited coach training with clients looking for more transparent, accessible and affordable coaching. Finding a good external coach can be a minefield for businesses and is most often done via referral or by working through an agency. Due to the cost, coaching tends to be reserved for Executive or Senior Leadership teams and is rarely offered as a development opportunity for high potential colleagues at levels below these. The Growing Coaches recognises the power of good coaching and is on a mission to make coaching more transparent, more accessible and more affordable. The Growing Coaches web platform matches and connects clients with coaches undergoing accredited coach training programmes which provides excellent quality and value. We are initially working with Henley Business School and supporting coaches undertaking the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching, which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Association for Coaching (AC) and the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) and offers over 60 hours of immersive and experiential coach training, including supervision. These coaches come from various backgrounds and tend to have c20+ years career experience in executive or senior leadership roles and often come with many years coaching experience. The Growing Coaches is delighted to be working with these coaches and with Henley Business School. Businesses subscribing to The Growing Coaches platform will nominate a colleague to be matched with a coach for 6 x 90 minute sessions. This is a ‘real’ coaching assignment and involves the coach contracting (often with a sponsor) as well as with the coachee; working on a set of desired outcomes and receiving feedback along the way. This helps coaches to achieve their ‘flying’ hours and enables businesses to support colleague development at a fraction of the usual cost.
