This area is one of the most underrated nature spots in the Edmond area. The trails are a pleasure to walk, especially during the spring wildflower bloom and during the hottest part of the summer dur to the short trail length. Several spots of special interest are marked with interpretative signs and species identification, which is great for keeping the interest of your little ones. Two large, elevated overlooks provide a great stakeout spot for birders. One has an osprey/eagle platform within view, but I didn't see any during this past year. The Wildlife Department has done a great job in providing this area free of charge to the public, but be advised that it's closed during deer season.
