First time here! Great bar tender and service last night from bleached platinum blonde hair bartender! She was by herself and service is PHENOMENAL! KUDOS AND THANK YOU! Green tea shots were great! Temperature of the drink was immaculately perfect! I wanted [about] to ask for something else but the shots were oddly satisfying if not the same as to what I was looking for! Covered outdoor seating to protect from elements and heaters! Also, live music inside but you can watch it outside through a flat screen!

Good small spot. Good people. Good attitudes. And most importantly actual live music. Great spot. It's not fuffy. It's bare bones great
"You're a green one, Mr. Grinch! You taste like an AMF!" That was my impression of this seasonal cocktail, as I said in the covered sidewalk dining area in Edmonds' main street. My wife and I came up from Portland to check out the Christmas market and central shopping district before taking the ferry over to Kingston and Poulsbo. We stopped for a couple drinks to shake off the cobwebs of our three hour drive, before venturing out to convene our Christmas shopping. Engels seems like a fun local pub, the kind of place we would frequent as locals. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and enjoyed the company of our canine companions, even amidst the sometimes cramped, canopied dining area. My Grinch was strong enough to take the edge off my fatigue without getting me hammered, and my wife's Pomegranate Smash did the same without leaving her smashed, as well. Maybe next time we'll be able to enjoy the interior ambiance, but these days, just being able to be served and enjoy a cocktail in public, even in the street, is a luxury for which we are thankful!
Great atmosphere and good drinks. Tots were ok, do not order the potstickers. Did not try any of the entrees, but will definitely give the food another try.
So happy to be out and with other people. Masks on all & I felt safe & had fun!!
Engel's is one of the original pubs in Edmonds. Good music and drinks. Lived here for 20 years through 3 owners and still coming back. Highly recommend giving it a try.
Went on Sunday for brunch to celebrate a friends birthday.. the first waiter did not give a good service at all but Katie gave exceptional service very courteous and professional she apologized for her colleagues service and gave a great service to me and my friends.. if you come to Bar Louie ask for Katie she is the best:)
Engel's is certainly the local haunt for Edmonds Residents and is known for its regular live music schedule and karaoke nights, and it tends to gather a majority of people from their late thirties to late sixties. It's a fine place and the staff and regulars are good people, but for me the layout of the building usually keeps me from going. It's a narrow but long "hall style" bar which creates an incredibly dense crowd from front to back where you're often finding yourself fighting to get to and fro from your table or the bar. The staff and patrons are all wonderful people, and they'll treat you right with pretty much no drink cut off, but that can make the dense crowd a bit sloppy to boot. It's a great place and a favorite for a lot of people and for good reason, and it might be yours too. If I can slip in on a quiet afternoon for a cold one and a game of pool, it's amazing, but if it's a music night (which it often is) you'll find me elsewhere.
