Recently had a great experience in the cell phone department. Manager Philippe and CSR Kelly were both extremely helpful with a faulty cell phone that another store would not help me with. They both took the time to look into the issue and come up with a solution to the problem. They actually seemed to care about customer service and satisfaction. While other CSRs from other stores seemed to want nothing to do with helping, they both were personable and pleasant while serving me. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience. If you need any help with cell phones and live in the Edmonton area, this is the only store you need to visit. Ask for Philippe or Kelly. Jan 20, 2014

This review is not about the staff as generally they have been very helpful. This review is on the store itself. I was given 200 worth of giftcards in January. I have been wanting to spend them, but Futureshop's skyhigh prices, bogus sales flyers, stuff supposidly on sale in flyer but really just regular price, starved shelves with very little cds, dvds, and blu-rays, and just an overall emptiness in the store. Well it reminds me of the weeks before A&B Sound closed or the famine years of communist Russia. Yes, unfortunately Futureshop seems like it will be closing its doors. That is all Future Shops. So sadly I will have to either waste the gift cards in some overpriced crap or hopefully something I actually want will go on sale for a decent price. So Future Shop(Past Shop) should stop advertising things on sale in flyers and online when the prices are simply regular joe blow prices. And fix your crappy website that shows items in stock at your stores but in reality the item is long gone.
I was shopping and found what I wanted to buy and they never let me know that they were closing the registers. very poor experience
I had sent my camera in for repairs and had spoken to 2 different CSR on the 1800 # who had informed me the product had not been shipped or received by the repair depot. I was told to speak to the store directly. After a store associate confirmed the same information I asked to speak with a manager. Maria told me that the camera had been shipped to the depot on the 29th. I called her bluff as 3 previous employees with the same access to my file could not locate that information. She then admitted that she was unable to see that information and that she would investigate. I received a call back and was told the product had been shipped on the 1st of November. I asked for proof in the form of a delivery receipt, I was refused! When I asked her why she had lied previously she told me I was mistaken and that she had merely told me the camera was no longer at her location! The nerve! There is still no update on my file that my product has been shipped or received by the repair depot. If the product had been shipped on the 1st it would have been received by by now as it takes 3 business days for delivery. I have escalated this with Future Shop head office and am yet to hear back from them 3 business days later.

After waiting on hold for 30min with thier auto answer rotating me through, hanging up on me 3 times and a worker saying they will get somene on the phone right away and then hanging up after being on hold for 5 min at a time. Ill probably never go back to this location. Terrible service if no one is willing to help you over the phone
