One of the tourist attractions in Edmonton. City has added lighting for tourists and its color changes everyday. Good experience walking on it. Gives a good view of downtown, legislature building, Walter Dale bridge and Saskatchewan river. There are walkways on both East and West side. East side gives better view. Be careful while walking as there are a lot of bikers and scooter riders and don’t think they follow any speed rules. Finding Parking is a challenge.

I love the bridge, but the bike paths are too narrow. Just last week when it was warm, a lady was accidentally hit by a biker when she accidentally walked into the oncoming lane and didn't see the biker. They were both fine, but next time I'd use a different way to cross the river on foot or on bike.
This is the best place to visit at day or night. Night view hits different for those who likes night life. At day you can go near the river could click some timing shots. There are many scooters available everywhere near bridge. Safe at night. Just near the bridge, there is a public parking free. Or you can go straight to downtown and park you car there. Not much traffic at night just the pedestrian walking . Make sure you wear mask even though you’re outside.
The high level bridge has nice views of the river valley and downtown Edmonton. Given that it is at the top of the valley it feels like a view from a watch tower. Each side of the bridge has an almost unobstructed view out over the river valley in one direction, making it worthwhile to see what the other side has to offer.
Super cool bridge. Deadly for biking around at night.
