New Life … New Beginnings created by Richard Tosczak Bronze Hawrelak Park … to celebrate the spirit of the pioneers who came to prepare the way for those who followed… The statue was a gift from Pearl Hawrelak Porter (1912-1988) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the City of Edmonton, It was unveiled in William Hawrelak Park on September 27, 2008. This bronze statue is 12.5 feet (3.8 metres) tall.
