Cute theatre, usually not very busy, and prices are reasonable. Great place to have in the Garneau area! Of course more showings would be great, but I can understand they may not be able to afford to have more in this area.

We recently watched a movie in the Princess II theatre, and it was alright. The prices were reasonable, the picture quality was ok. Sound quality was fine. Seat comfort was lacking. The theatre definitely gets points for fitting in on Whyte Ave. I would go again, but my wife would not.
This place is beautiful and lovely and a staple of Whyte Ave. But don't go see movies there. The screen is too small, the speakers don't work. We went and saw TENET and walked out because it was INSANELY LOUD and muffled. They were kind enough to give us a refund but the guy at the front desk said he couldn't turn it down. I'm all for supporting local but when local doesn't work, just go to Cineplex. Yes it's a faceless corporation but at least you'll get to actually watch the movie.
The final (bldg. up for lease) closure of the Princess is being blamed on Covid-19. We quit going months BEFORE the pandemic because the place smelled musty and the seats were old and uncomfortable. There is only so much "character" that one is willing to pay for.
Very clean, first time there. The seats are comfortable. Staff are exciting. Just a all around nice place
Cute local theatre with the best movie popcorn in the city. They have appropriate COVID measures in place like rows closed, limited capacity, and sanitizer available. Support this local business!
Glad to see they are still going strong. Use to be a favorite back in Uni days. Best cinema in Alberta
Located on a major Avenue, the oldest cinema in the city is truly an art house cinema. It'll give you a retro feel. The acoustic is good. The price of the tickets are affordable. For the first time in my life, I saw a space called 'infant crying room.'
