Great space! So many choices of trails, you can easily avoid groups and people if you so prefer. Always clean, with many garbage locations throughout the main path areas. A variety of bench locations if your looking to take a break too! Highly recommend for dog walks, mountain biking and just good trails, views and nature. ALSO theirs usually a food truck with !!!dog treats!!! Coffee etc...

Lovely park for dogs and off course for bikers too, dogs enjoy other dog’s company,,they play around and in the river water they love to jump n play. All days are busy, sometimes it’s hard to find parking place.

I love this park! It's the only way to do a dog park safely. Wide open spaces, water, trails. I used to come here with my Lab 20 years ago. I live in WA state now and have not been able to find anything as accessible and safe. This is a jewel for Edmonton. Take care of it!

Terwillegar Park is quite a large off leash dog park that happens to be a peninsula with the North Saskatchewan River surrounding it on all 3 sides. There is a vast forested area upon entering the park. However most of the park is relatively flat with bumpy and lumpy uneven ground. In the spring when snow melts you will want to wear boots as water pools everywhere and trails become muddy. There are half a dozen fairly shallow ponds within the park. It’s a great park for flying a kite or a drone and large enough that you can easily socially distance during busy times during the Covid-19 pandemic. However the parking lot has multiple pot holes littered everywhere upon entering - which is an understandable deterrent for some drivers. I didn’t see any wildlife with exception to the many dogs running around off leash - this park does seem to be popular with people. Pack a few snacks and water because you will be walking a few miles if you intend on exploring this park.

Love this park. Parking sucks but according to the city website more parking is coming. Trails are shared use and there are lots of cyclists. River access. A few art pieces to check out too! Lots of dog poop in the large field area in spite of lots of garbage cans for easy clean up.
