Homewood has saved my life. As I have a past history with addiction and was sober for 3 years. The mental breakdown and attempt to just end it that I suffered was very swiftly looked at as a full blown relapse. My EFAP wanted to ship me off to a treatment center. Thankfully my substance abuse assessor saw I was truly suffering with PTSD as well as severe depression and anxiety. Homewood customized a program for me to deal with what was really plaguing me and that was mental health and not so much addiction. Almost a year later and I use the tools taught me and I am back at work fully functioning knowing that if I feel things slipping away there is always hope because of what I learned at homewood. I can honestly say if it was not for this program I don't know where or how I would be today, but it wouldn't be in the positive position I have created for myself.

Horrible people who only care about making money, ruining the lives of hard working people. Soon enough it is all going to catch up to you. When you go bankrupt from all of the law suits that are coming your way I might see you on the streets beging for nickles that you have done to so many. I am going to say Im sorry I don't have any more nickles you took mine all away.

Posting anonymously. I personally have a severe trauma/addiction background. I came to this place when I was doing horribly in my life as a result of a few deaths this year. So I thought everything would be great. But I didn't get accepted. They first told me that I have \too much trauma\ and when I asked them if my trauma is \too much\ for them, they had to say it better to not sound like it was. So first off, if you have a severe trauma background, this place should most likely be a write off. Then they proceed to tell me that I need another psychiatric assessment & DBT! Which by the way, is a complete joke because 1) I've gotten one and no significant changes in my mental health have taken place. & 2) DBT is for people with addictive behaviors, and I've been clean and sober for over 2 years. Plus if they want to argue that it's for my \emotional wellbeing\ - well if they viewed all clients/ patients etc. as a human like everybody else, then they'd be more inclined to show compassion to those (Like myself) who have gone through severe deaths. Looking back at my expirience, I know I was judged by people who go \by the book\ rather than genuinely wanting to help. Personally, I am grateful that I didn't get accepted and I found out the true colours of the program initially, because it saved me thousands of dollars. Also here's something to think of, if this program was really \great\, wouldn't they be getting some sort of financial support from the gov't and or charity to prevent the costs of being 9-15k a client? They get nothing because they don't have the reputation to have funds come their way. Seriously think before wasting your time. It's better to go elsewhere.

Another cash grab comoany that breaks down and demonizes hard working canadians trying to make a living, your not a person here your a dollar sign, people will soon realize that these specific types of clinics need to used for hard drug addiction, this place is a joke
