Situated above 600 meters at the top of a hill, this charming restaurant blends nicely into the landscape with a charming rustic finish. There is ample parking and lots of seating both indoors on two levels and outside on the terrace which, on a clear day, provide wonderful views of the Alps in the distance. The serving staff are friendly and attentive without being too obtrusive. I had perhaps, the best Nüsslisalat that I've ever tasted in 25 years of living in Switzerland. I also ordered the \House special\ Rösti which was also very tasty but I had the feel g that it had been prepared long before it was delivered to my table. There drive to the restaurant goes over a lot of unpaved road (dirt track) and I always have the feeling that the underneath of my car will get damaged. It hasn't happened yet though. Apart from the stunning views of the Alps, if you are prepared to walk a couple of hundred metres further up the hill you will see the spectacular ruins of the New Falkenstein Castle.

Beautiful scenic restaurant! The food was delicious!!!!! Animals grazing around makes it more beautiful!
Honestly the restaurant is great. The food is great and the staff are friendly. My only qualm with the restaurant is the difficulty reserving a table (you can't do it online) and the 15 minute drive through tight forest roads to get there.
Would be a really nice location, but i am always affraid of the free walking dogs outside. Even if you pass the location with your mountain bike, isnt fun. The restaurant and ambiente would be nice.
