EGGXPERT is a young startup company located in Brightlands Chemlot Campus. From ancient time of China, human beings have been tapping the unique properties of eggshell membrane (ESM) to enhance their lives. ESM appears as a remedy for anti-aging, wounds healing and other ailments in Compendium of Materia Medica, the classic work on Chinese herbal medicine compiled from ancient sources and current practices by the great Ming dynasty. Coincidence, we found that the ESM management is a serious matter in Europe. Inspired by combination of traditional Chinese medicine and insufficient membranes management, EGGXPERT initiated an innovative project of developing raw ESM into skin care and health care products by employment of scientific researchers and advanced technologies. The mission of EGGXPERT is to bring the added value of ESM in our circular economy and open up the scientific impact of instinct-value from ESM. We strongly believe, we providing an innovative solution of making use the ESM from food industry through developing this egg industrial waste into a life caring product (e.g. skin caring or healthcare). EGGXPERT is facilitated by Brightlands Innovation Factory, LIOF/LBDF, Stimulus-MIT and Rabobank Innovation Team.
