Great place to be. Start of winter, when the crowd is a bit less, and the new snow is just falling and is fluffy. That's the best time to be. The 10 minute ride takes you from 1000 meters above sea level to 2950 meters!

At first I was a little skeptical because it's not everyday you send about 3000 meters into the air. However the view from the cable car was gorgeous. Once getting to the end of the cable card ride, there is a small shack where you can see for miles. There is a glacier if you take another cable car, which is gorgeous as well and you can even sled for free. The restaurant near the glacier was amazing and the burgers are to die for.
Very impressive cable car that takes you to the Zugspitze for 58 euro return. Very popular: on a not-so-busy day like today we had to wait 30 mins before it was our turn (they depart every 10 mins), which was a bit of a burden in the sun and with a mouth mask on, but the ride itself was worth the wait and the money!
Well well managed cable car system. This is the longest cable car in the world, and the views are stunning. The staff are nice & helpful, and my kid even got a candy from them. The entrances and exits are well marked and me as a tourist found no difficulty in navigating them. At one point, a person in the staff even offered to take a picture of my family on top of Zugspitze. I loved being there, and I wish the best for the staff at Eibsee Cable Car.
Cable car is perfect even for me with acrophobia, but if you want enjoy everything on top of mountain you need to go early ride
