This place is disgusting! We booked a room for 2 nights, we checked in @ 11pm, we checked out by 6am the next morning. I got no sleep! The filth kept me up wondering if I was going to end up with bedbugs! The employees were very nice, but thats where the pleasantries stopped. There were holes in walls, cracks in the sink, the faucet was lose, you could see daylight between the wall and the AC, and worst of all, the bedding looked as if it had not been washed in ages! The stains were horrible! The smell of the room made me sick. We ended up parked in a walmart parking lot in order to get some sleep. I would tell anyone who is looking for a clean place to look elsewhere! *in response to the hotel owners reply to this review; if your management is unaware of the state of this hotel, you really should look into getting new management. The filth we experienced was obviously not new, and we are not the only ones who have said that in these reviews. Its more of a problem than simply needing to be dusted. This place needs a complete overhaul!

I referred my brother to this place now that they are renting monthly as studios. It’s been hard for him to find a place in San Diego due to the expensive rent. I thought this place would be perfect for him. He works full-time and just needs a place of his own to lay his head. When he went in for his appointment, he specifically told them that he is receiving unemployment Until he is able to return to work because he was laid off due to the pandemic. So they had him fill out the application, Pay the 35 application fee, pull up his proof of UI benefits in the office and then told him he didn’t make enough. Mind you, right now he’s making almost 2000 every two weeks just on unemployment. Apparently they went by the regular weekly benefit amount minus the extra 600. If they were going to do that, they should’ve denied him as soon as he said he’s receiving unemployment. Everybody knows in the state of California the cap Weekly benefit amount is 450. My point in saying all of that is to say that she was very rude with her delivery in telling him that he didn’t qualify because he didn’t make enough. Her whole demeanor changed. There was no reason for the nasty attitude. To have him go through all that and take the 35 application fee knowing that if he is receiving unemployment right now he wouldn’t be qualified is bogus. These people make money off these application fees. Maybe if you are certain somebody you'll have exceptional customer service. But beware. Wish I would’ve never referred him there.
GAVE A STAR CUZ I HAVE TOO DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING FRONT DESK WAS RUDE, SMELLS OF SMOKE, CIG BUDS EVERY WHERE,VERY VERY DIRTY NOT MAINTAINED AT ALL. MOLD IN THE SHOWER HOLE IN THE DOOR, CARPET WAS FILTHY, HONESTLY WALKED IN AND OUT WAS AFRAID TO TOUCH ANYTHING, ALSO DOOR JAM HAD BEEN RECENTLY BUSTED AND NOT PROPERLY FIXED JUST PUDDIED. PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIVING HERE AND LOOKED LIKE SHADDY BUSINESS WAS GOING ON AS WELL. CANCELLED AND ATE THE MONEY I REPEAT DONT STAY HERE.
We stayed here the past weekend and had a horrible 4 night stay. We had to change rooms several times, once due to the non smoking room smelling horrible of marijuana. Then the second room, the door to the outside wouldn't close properly and left a crack and the bed was a queen (we paid for a king). We went to use the towels and they were dirty with black spots on them. The third and final room, the sound on the TV was broken and the cable didnt work properly and kept going in and out so we couldn't watch anything. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were not even a standard size. Also the elevators were horrible, extremely small and slow. One of them also sounded like it was going to break as it went up. We would not recommend this hotel.
It was the worst surprise showing up to see this run down hotel. It looks nothing like the picture and it was ridiculous how different it was in reality. I would not stay here ever. I checked in and didn’t bother asking for a refund. Lost 120 for two nights. The customer service was incredibly slow when I checked in. Waited 20 min and only two people were in front of me. Simple check in was too hard for them to get done in a reasonable time. Don’t stay here. It is ghetto and the rooms are awful and disgusting. There are sketchy people who stay here and it feels extremely unsafe.
This place is closed it has been condemned for parasites and bugs . It was disgusting. Hopefully they can save the place and create a newer cleaner hotel with good prices
I booked this place because it was owned by choice hotels. I strongly recommend choice hotel disown it so not to tarnish their reputation. I have stayed in rodeway inn , lemon grove last year and it was pretty decent for a budget hotel. But this one is a definite no. This is more of a ghetto. It was very scary for us to stay there the 2 nights. I continued to stay since we had no choice. Homeless people ( I have no idea who they were) were there all over the lobby and premises of the hotel. Entire place smelled of Marijuana and smoke. I would not have stayed here if it was not under CHOICE hotels. I think Choice group should visit this and get it checked out
