A great place to see and think, how far we've come.

A shell of its former glory, El Cerrito has been pretty well abused since the conquest. The structure on top is not a former church, or fort as the name implies, but a house built by the hacienda owner. You can't climb up the pyramid if that is your interest. The surrounding garden is very nice. There is no parking lot so you park on the street.
Great historic site. Clean and tidy, no charge to visit.
Compared with Teotihuacán, this place is small and less preserved. But it worth to spend some time there. The El Cerrito museum is in the same lot and it's very nice.
Something different to do in Queretaro and it is free
