Howies has taken care of my dogs for years! My pup loves playing at Howie’s all day & then he comes home happy & exhausted! The staff are great! Thank you Tony for taking such great care of my pup! (All 99 lbs of him)!

My dog loved staying here! I was travelling through the area and needed to leave my dog somewhere for a few hours. After being rejected by two nearby places that require a multi-day \orientation\ process, Howie's was the only one able to accommodate us on short notice (as long as we provided the proper vaccination records). The staff was very caring towards the dog, and were able to calm her down and help her get acclimated to staying with other dogs. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to support a local business & know that your dog is safe and well cared for.
Every morning, my pup patiently sits by the door as I get ready for work, knowing she's going to get to go to day care. She's very energetic, and gets extremely happy when I drop her off. She's well taken care of by an excellent staff, and she has plenty of room to run around (average of 9 miles) everyday inside the building. Highly recommend!!
***Howie's Doggie Day Care does not accept Staffordshire Terriers, Pit mixes, Rottweilers or Akitas. Crucial information that is completely absent from their website.*** Though I disagree with their decision to prohibit certain breeds from the facility, it's their business and the owner, Tony Morales, can run it how he sees fit. However, I have a huge issue with my time and money being wasted after I went out of my way to adhere to his requirements for admission, which it turns out aren't even accurate! I went back and reviewed the website to make sure I wasn't going crazy and nowhere does it state that they don't accept certain breeds. Not in the acceptance of terms. Not on the home page. Not even on the eligibility page! How is it that such a crucial piece of information is completely omitted? Not only that, but they have a pit mix pictured in their web banner! I also had a detailed conversation about the vaccination requirements during which they never questioned me about the breed of my dog. If they don't accept certain breeds, why not ascertain this information from potential clients so as not to waste their time? I went to the vet this morning at 7:30 am in order to get the vaccination that they require for admission. Even though my vet recommends my dog receive this only once a year, the doggie day care said he has to get Bortedella every 6 months. My dog is 9 years old and the last thing I want to do is pump his body full of drugs he doesn't need. Once I arrived at Howie's for the meet & greet, Tony revealed to me that he doesn't accept Staffie-Pit mixes and his \apology\ was unsatisfactory to say the least, especially after having wasted my time and money. And my poor dog left feeling rejected. Sniffle, sniffle. I've requested that the owner update his site and other company communications to reflect his breed restrictions. I'd hate for another person to have to go through such an ordeal just to provide their dog with a boarding option.
