At 78 years old, I am new to the dermatology profession. 'Glad I finally made the move, directed by my general practitioner. Dr. Burns was the specific recommendation, and she quickly proved invaluable. First she detected the beginnings of skin cancer on a finger of my left hand, scheduled its surgical removal and followed up thereafter. All clear. At my first six-month reappraisal, she shaved-off a funny-looking place on the left cheek of my face, and sent it off for biopsy. 'Haven't heard back yet, but the spot on my cheek has healed clean and neat and undetectable. At the least, I'm less one funny-looking spot on my face; at the worst, she removed the makings of a cancerous growth there. Yes, a very nice return on the time and deductible paid for skin care I should have sought out decades ago. Thanks Dr. Burns.--John Thompson

I've been struggling with an infection that has been repeatedly misdiagnosed and mishandled by other derms. I was referred to Dr. Burns by my OB and I'm glad I listened and made an appointment. Dr Burns listened to my opinion of what the infection was and although I was skeptical of the drugs she recommended, THEY WORKED! I'm still taking the meds but the before and after is amazing and I'm completely grateful for her listening and caring and helping me with something I've been dealing with for a long time. The world needs more medical professions like her who LISTEN first and are knowledgeable enough to provide care.
