Amazing place so beautiful. Great price to get into the park and the people at the front gate are super polite. Has a ton of animals from elk to bison which are always great to see. The forest rangers maintain the park well and it is always clean and green.

This is our go to place for the warm weather. The trails are always great! Lots of variety and good for kids and dogs. In the winter time you can walk out to the island on Lake Astotin and it was a great adeventure for the kids. Playground is huge and the kids like it! Just remember to bring a mask for the bathrooms.

Elk Island park is definitley worth the drive from Edmonton or surrounding areas. You are surrounded by nature no matter where you go and its a beautiful place to explore all year round. Both walking and hiking trails can be found across the entire park and the bison are easy to spot/find. It is a great escape from the busy city life.

Great trails for walking, many doable with small kids. Lots of fire pits and picnic tables at specific locations for a great family day out.

Never been before but totally awe struck on this place. What a beautiful majestic environment. Bison(Buffalo). Roaming free 30-40 feet from you absolutely breathe taking. It was really busy, plus you have to pay a fee to enter per car load. But well worth every penny. Can't wait to go back!
