Top notch Staff, Equipment and Facility! The Boot Camp and Training for Warriors classes are fantastic. I've been working out there for over a year now and the classes have not gotten routine or boring. All of the trainers are very knowledgeable and really easy to talk to if you have any questions. The staff there is always super friendly and greet you by name! I would highly recommend The Gym to anyone who is looking for a friendly, clean and motivating place to workout!

What a great place to have a gym membership! I was looking for a new, non-intimidating fitness center that wasn't looking for me to sign up, and never show up again! I don' t have a lot of workout experience and I needed a service oriented fitness center, but I couldn't afford ongoing personal training. Recently, I came across The Gym's website. I was very impressed with the videos, testimonials, and all the information about the fitness center, so I requested a tour of the facilities. I went and LOVED it instantly! I signed up right then and there. The membership is affordable with lots of consultations with the personal training staff which is exactly what I was looking for! Great member service and a great gym! What else could you possibly want?? Thanks again, The Gym, for offering memberships to this awesome establishment!
Whether you are male or female, in shape or out of shape, a fitness junkie or intimidated by a 5 lb dumbbell (like me!), you will not regret joining The Gym at Elkins Park. I've tried other gyms, but I was looking for a place where I could learn, get a good workout, and challenge myself; and this gym met my expectations and more. These are some of the best trainers I've ever encountered; you will LEARN a lot both about the reasons behind what you are doing, and how to challenge yourself and push yourself safely, no matter what your starting level, These guys are teachers too, not just trainers. The training programs, specifically boot camp and the new apex Xtreme fitness are the craziest, most fun and most challenging workouts I've ever done. They make a point of being knowledgeable about the most up to date exercise science, and implementing this into each of these programs. I've been taking boot camp classes for over 6 months, but I'm still challenged; I've gained muscle, which is awesome. But, more importantly, I gained confidence in myself and what I can do. And, so will you. There is a saying on the wall downstairs in the gym, and it says, "Strong is the new sexy." That is what The Gym at Elkins Park is about....walking with you while you become a strong, confident person, no matter what your size or ability level. And by the way, if you are a fitness junkie already, don't be fooled. They don't let you off the hook....you'll be pushed to reach even higher.
Before joining Elkins Park Boot Camp, I noticed a negative change in my general health. Even walking up a flight of stairs made me short of breath and no matter how carefully I ate, my waist continued to expand. From my very first Boot Camp, my Boot Camp Trainers, Mike and Mark, have been outstanding! They always demonstrate the proper technique for each exercise and encourage you to give it your all at each session. They are also quick to remind you, if they feel you are dogging it as well. Support comes from my fellow Boot Campers, as you will often hear their words of encouragement, if you're struggling through an exercise. From Boot Camp start to finish I am on the go, and it sets a great tone for my entire day. I attend Boot Camp three days a week and afterwards, I feel energized the entire day. For me, my biggest benefit of Membership at Elkins Park Boot Camp has been the improvement in how I look and feel about myself. I am back to my waist size of two years ago, lowering my body fat by 12%, and have all but lost my second chin, all without dieting. As an added bonus, with my increased flexibility, resulting from stretching exercises, I find that my golf game has improved as well! I would recommend Elkins Park Boot Camp to anyone who is unhappy with the way they look and feel. In every Boot Camp, you will find Members from their 20's into their late 50's. We all work together and encourage each other at every training session. Although each Boot Camper is at a different fitness level, we are all here for the same reason--to improve ourselves and to look and feel better.
Love everything about this gym. The Trainers, Staff, and Owners are wonderful. I am excited to go and work out and I feel great afterwards all while being challenged. The personal trainers are all amazing and wonderful. Tim is awesome as a personal trainer and pushes me to my limits ever single time I workout with him! Boot Camp Classes and XTC are created and exhibited by the trainers at the gym and are fun, unique and challenging at the same time. The trainers are constantly developing new workouts to keep things interesting. I highly recommend this Gym to any and all people of any fitness level.
A gym full of equipment can be a very intimidating place. The Gym has a large variety of equipment, and when I started, I had no idea how to use hardly any of it! During my initial weeks at The Gym, they have a great program where not only was I given a full Body Composition Analysis to see exactly my current physical condition, I was also provided with two free Personal Training sessions and a nutritional consultation. After Mike took me through the training and nutrition consultation, I realize I needed more, if I was serious about getting in shape. After working with Mike, who provided the guidance for me to properly use the equipment, but more importantly, Mike has shown me that I am much more capable of improving my fitness level beyond that I had ever dreamed possible! I always had the fear of hurting myself, if I began to seriously exercise, but with Mike's guidance all my fears have vanished! I have encouraged all of my friends to work with my favorite trainer, Mike, to maximize the benefits of exercise, especially when starting out for the first time!
