The service is always great. The staff are very helpful. If you are new to diy, decorating, etc they give good advice and will tell you where else you might get something you need if they don’t have it. Excellent shop and fab that it’s local. The key cutting service is also great.

This store has spent ages and three visits to cut three keys for me, it turned out the lock was faulty and therefore keys would not work. (not their fault) sold me a new lock with three extra keys at no charge. So pleasant to have a store that works with you to an end where all are satisfied.. Keep up the good work
Great traditional looking hardware store with full range of hardware items from budget to top range. Dave is very knowledgable and if he didn’t know was happy to find our what I needed. Have shopped here for years and will continue to do so.
Really? It's one thing to disregard a review but to push the blame onto another store that's local and better than yours in a bit harsh!! My review... Working in Brighouse on a contract job, needed some stuff so called in. Out of date/era products and a lot of stuff with dust on. The place needs to close - they're flogging a dead horse trying. It's clear they have issues and other people have had bad experiences too. I asked for a few items to be told they could 'order in' ... it's not a pizza I want, it's stuff to make sure I get the job done today. Made the journey to B&Q as it was on the way to collect other items. I did google Stuart's Hardware and called in on my way home. They were still open, and have a website. Hardware shops need to be well stocked, well managed and well recommended. Unfortunately this has none of those requirements so I'll be going elsewhere in my 6 month contract.
A great local amenity, competitive pricing, good service, I try to use them whenever I can. Tools, key cutting, paints, plumbing & electrical plus lots more. Highly recommended
My favourite shop in Elland! It has got everything in it, from sewing thread, keys cut, batteries, paint, fork handles.... and 4 candles! Hahaha... you name it! Staff are always friendly & helpful and they make you feel at ease with their friendly banter. Great value for money, I will always support this fabulous shop.
I can't believe the review about the staff being inept and over charging! Must work at the other hardware shop he mentioned. I use this shop a lot and I've always found them good value (often cheaper than the big warehouse DIY stores) and the staff helpful and very friendly. We need to support out independent shops if we want them to survive
Best hardware shop! Gutted they are having to close! We NEED THESE SHOPS TO STAY OPEN!
